Watermark Tee Craft

So I made this a couple of years ago and I absolutely love the shirt. I hope that you will try this at home and love it as much as I do. It may take a few tries to master, but it is definitely worth all the work.

You’ll need:

Elmers Blue Gel Glue(it must be the blue, the white doesn’t work)

RIT dye in whatever color you like

A tee, tank, or dress(a tote could work too)

Wet the tee with cold water, wring out and slip a waterproof lid or something between the layers of fabric. Using the Elmers glue, write across the tee your favorite quotes or poems. You could also try drawing something with the Elmers glue, although I recommend something simple. It must be completely dry, so let it dry overnight.

Now, get a bin or small tub of cool water and put your color dye into the water. Remember not to do too many drops, because the finished, dry tee will come out a few shades darker. Soak your tee in the water, making sure your hands are fully covered with plastic gloves and keep just soaking it in the dye water for a couple of minutes. After that, squeeze out most of the water and leave it on the lid to dry.

When it is dry, soak it in cool, soapy water for about 15 minutes. Put it in the washer and dry regularly.

Enjoy!
